Vintage Sterling Necklace Choker with Rhinestones from 1950s

This 1950s vintage sterling bow is adorned with aqua and clear rhinestones. The ribbon is filigree and has a princess cut clear rhinestone at its center on a diagonal. The ends of the ribbon are suggested by aqua baguettes. A fine curb chain completes the necklace and closes with a spring ring clasp.

It is marked “STERLING” on the circle in the middle of the backside of the necklace. From the deluxe feel of the piece the donor believes this sterling to be rhodium plated. There is no patina and the silver color is bright and shiny.

The scale of the bow is pleasing and not overwhelming. Overall the piece seems almost unworn and is in excellent vintage condition. The clear rhinestones are all foiled and most are sparkly. There is one stone that looks a bit discolored upon close inspection. All stones are prong set and secure. A quality made vintage beauty! ca. 1950s when the bow motif was quite popular.

Size: 14 ¾ inches in length. The bow itself measures 1 inch in width and 1 ¼ inch in height.

Please remember that 100% of the profits from Jewels of Hope go to charity. This piece was donated by BohemianTradingCompany @ www.etsy.com/shop/bohemiantrading
