Boy oh boy! This is quite a lovely lot of 8 antique+hardcover books including titles by Jules Verne and Booth Tarkington, all published between the 1880's and 1940's. All of these titles are collectible and in very good, good, or acceptable condition. Check 'em out!

Specifically, the lot includes:
*Indian Summer. Howells, W.D. Boston Tickner and Company, 1886. This printing states that it was published in 1886. Hardcover, 395 pages. This book is a wonderful love story of an older man and a younger woman, full of great dialogue and characterization. The book is in good condition (likely very good, considering its age), with a previous owner's inscription on the cover page, but no other markings. The binding and covers are in great shape. In short, a fine collectible copy of a wonderful book. Gold in-laid title banner on the front; this is a beautiful book.

*Texar's Revenge. Verne, Jules. Arlington Edition. No date, likely 1880's. Hardcover, 267 pages. Classic story of resistance to Northern occupation during reconstruction. Beautiful book has a loose page at the front and some wear, but adds to its charm.

*(THIS BOOK IS NOT INCLUDED; it was already sold. Price has been adjusted accordingly)The Friendship of Art. Carman, Bliss. Page Boston, 1904. Hardcover, 303 pages. This one is in good condition, and would look great on any shelf with its gold floral coloration on its covers.

*The Broad Highway. Farnol, Jeffery. A.L. Burt and company, 1911. Hardcover, 518+ pages. The book is in acceptable condition, considering its age, with no markings on the outside and an owner inscription and occational markings inside. Overall, a fine collectible copy of a wonderful vintage book.

*A King In Khaki. Webster, Henry Kitchell. Appleton and company, 1909. This book and edition are very rare as I've not been able to locate another copy on the internet (and it isn't everyday that one is able to stump the internet). This is NOT a "kindle" edition, or a print on demand book. This is the real deal, hardcover copy of this title which was published in 1909. The book is in good shape, with no discernible marks on the pages and good covers. It's lovely and unique.

*Kelly's Universal Readers. Brann, Henry A. Thomas Kelly Publisher, 1904. 480 pages. There is definite wear as the spine is worn as well are the edges of the book. The binding is loose and there are spots and blemishes through out. There are some pencil marks and the previous owner's name inscribed on the front inside of the book.

*In the Arena. Tarkington, Booth. Doubleday Publishing, 1925. Hardcover, 278 pages. Black cover, good condition.

*The Tale of Genji. Murasaki, Lady. The Literary Guild, 1935. Hardcover, 743 pages. This one is beautiful and in great shape.
