This lovely quartet, comprising of a teacup, saucer, cake plate and sandwich plate, was made by Colclough under the Royal Vale signature in England, most likely during the 1930s/40s.

The set is washed in a delicate ballerina pink with a mirror like shine.

The rims of all the items are embossed with a lustrous guilt fringing that tapers into rococo flourishes on two sides of the larger plate.

With its bubblegum pink and gold colours and Versailles glamour, it's very easy to imagine a tea set like this being enjoyed at one of Marie Antoinette's afternoon cake parties.

The set's wonderful gleaming and distinctive style mean it can be immediately recognised as vintage, making the perfect addition to any tea party, dinner party or wedding gathering.

The quartet's heart-stoppingly pretty looks also make them fabulous to display in an armoire or kitchen dresser.

The undersides of all the items are back stamped with the words "Royal Vale", "Made in England" and "Bone China". A crown symbol also appears. These back stamps confirm the set's makers as Royal Vale, created sometime between 1913 and 1953 when this particular combinations of marks was in use.

This remarkable tea set is in excellent vintage condition, with no chipping, cracking or crazing.
