great vintage Art Deco cookbook and guidebook with menus, advice, ingredient information and tons of recipes:

New Delineator Recipes
by the Delineator Home Institute
The Butterick Publishing Company, 1929 (first edition, first printing)
Textured Art Deco design book cloth with red design and lettering
Hardcover with black and white photographs throughout
222 pages.
8.5 x 5.5

Gorgeous little book from the late 1920s in its first edition and first printing. Beautiful design. Full of earnest advice and recipes from simple (French Fries) to celebratory (English Plum Pudding), covering all the courses. Sample menus for every meal. Lots of advice ("to become a good cook involves more than the blind following of a recipe" and "beauty and orderliness are indispensable to the charm of your table"). Great black and white photos that look like the set of a movie. A charming but useful, usable book.

Very good condition. Some yellowing. Some nicks and wear to the bookcloth cover. A few scattered little dots on the rare page, one or two dog ears. Otherwise very clean and tidy with few flaws.
