A vintage 1950's Mad Men style star brooch stamped Emmons. The 3D starburst or Christmas star design alternates brushed silver tone metal with sparkling crystal Aurora Borealis rhinestone studded spikes. A shimmering 8mm faux pearl sits in the middle as a beautiful contrast. Brooch is approximately 1.75 inches (44.45 mm) in diameter.

Some of the rhinestones show rather blueish in the photos, but sparkle with the spectrum of color crystal rhinestones usually do.

One owner, jewelry box kept, like new vintage condition.

Of high quality and increasingly rare, these classically styled brooch is from the Emmons Jewelers Inc. line, founded in 1948 and incorporated in 1949. Emmons Jewelry was the forerunner of the less expensive Sarah Coventry Jewelry. The Emmons mark was first used in 1949 by Charles H. Stuart, who named the company in honor of his wife, Caroline Emmons. He later founded Sarah Coventry Jewelry, which he named after his Granddaughter, Sarah.
