Vintage Retro Framed & Signed de Jonge Daisy Print Circa 1940's. This was an estate sale find, and just looking at this piece brings a guaranteed smile to your face.

Both Turner and de Jonge utilized the popular Airbrush technique of the 1940's Era with their sought after Floral themes seen in vintage bark cloth designs. On a personal note I am crazy about this era, the stylized but classic floral designs. This piece would be a real gem to any Art Deco, Retro or even modern Decorating Style.

The frame is cream with a band of twisted gold, and measures 22 1/2" X 18 1/2". The signed print measures 19 1/2" X 15 1/2". The background color is a soft light mocha. The daisies are pale creams with centers of pale yellow and orange and the blue flowers have pale pinks dots of color. The green foliage are at least five different shades of greens. The pottery piece the flowers stand in is shades of grey, with cream and pink accents.

There are no water spots on the print, print is in excellent condition it appears that way due to the reflection of the glass.

What is amazing is that all these colors work, and if your favorite flowers are daisies, this one is for you. Remember what Meg Ryan told Tom Hanks in the movie, "You've Got Mail", "Daisies are Happy Flowers". I can visually see this piece in the center of the wall with other de Jonge and Turner prints surrounding it.

If you have been reading my listings you already know, The Doctor puts post-it notes on the items in my office and sneaks out, only for me to find him walking around outside working on de-cluttering the Tardis.

Better wrap this up, before my driveway looks aTardis Flea Market on a Monday, with a British Phone Box on the lawn.

What I am going to do, just love this Character!
