Written by Maggie Baylis, this is a classic of houseplant literature! Not only is it informative, but it's fun too. The illustrations are unforgettable.

Maggie Baylis was married to Landscape Architect Douglas Baylis. Douglas was one of the founders of the California School of modernism in Landscape Architecture along with the likes of Royston, Eckbo, and Church.

Maggie and her husband are also known as pioneers of how-to articles in the field of garden writing. This book is a later effort, written after her husband had passed away, and it is simply a hoot.
