This pretty little vase is unmarked but I believe it to be Japanese. It was in a group of items which were marked "made in Japan" and has a similar glazing. It is a lovely almost Ginger Jar shape although there is no cover.

It is porcelain and is painted with an iridescent carnival glaze and is decorated with pretty hand painted flowers on one side in a decorative band.

The vase is in very good condition with no chips. It appears to be missing a lid, but that does not detract from its beauty or usefulness. It is nicely made and would be a charming accent on a shelf. It would be especially lovely holding Lillies of the Valley.

It stands a mere 2" tall and 3" wide across the handles
