Vintage hand carved abacus shaped brown and black spotted palm wood spacer beads.
These beads were actually custom hand carved for me in 1984 in the Philippines.
I was designing a very large order for the Smithsonian Institution's mail order catalog and museum shops.
These unique spotted brown wooden beads were used in a necklace mixed with tigereye and black onyx.

Because these are natural wood, the pattern on the beads do vary but I will do my best to match the 20 beads that you purchase. They're a wonderful abacus shape with a very primitive look to them.

Price is for 20 of these unique beads which are approximately 8mm thick x 13-15mm and I 100% guarantee them to be natural untreated wood from the Philippines from 1984.

I sold vintage hand carved wooden beads such as these through the Smithsonian Institution's
museum shop and catalog during the 1980's and they were also featured in trunk shows at Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue during this same time period.
You can read more about my career as a jewelry designer in my profile page!

You will never see a bead of this quality at your local neighborhood "gem show"!
