This vintage estate ring is in 14k rose gold with a natural deep green, round-cut emerald and diamonds.

Included in the price is a complimentary written appraisal from a well-respected, independent GIA-certified gemologist (a value of $50).

The appraised retail value is $2,796.00

The emerald is the birthstone for May, and the 20th Anniversary gemstone. And, of course, diamonds are (every) girl's best friend. A winning combination if you are looking for a special May birthday gift for a vintage lover.

I include the description as per the appraisal:

Ladies retro-style (1940s-50s) vintage ring in an off-center design.

Featuring: One med. green round emerald w. some garden (visible inclusions, which is very common with emeralds), Weighing .55ct

There are additionally 6 single cut diamonds and 3 round brilliant cut diamonds accenting the sides.
The diamonds are I1 in clarity and I/J color. (.51ct total weight)

The ring is composed of solid 14k rose or pink gold and weighs 7.1 grams.

It has the typically geometric lines, chunky style and rounded curves of the period and a low profile setting. The workmanship has a rough-hewn handmade quality and there are some signs of age and wear.

It’s currently a finger size 5 3/4 (US) but can be sized by a good jeweler.

You can view the copy of the appraisal, along with more details in the last photo.

Shipping will include insurance.

If you enjoy learning about the meanings and healing properties of gemstones, here is some emerald information.

The emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus. It was thought to preserve love. The emerald has long been the symbol of hope. It is considered by many to be the stone of prophecy. For some the emerald acts as a tranquilizer for a troubled mind. The emerald is said to bring the wearer reason and wisdom. The strongest time for the powers of the emerald is said to be spring.

Lucky for love, give your lover an emerald to stay faithful.

In several cultures the emerald was the symbol for fertilizing rain. In the Christian faith it is the symbol of faith and hope.
