Hand carved wooden serving spoon for salsa and the like of Maple wood. This one is 7 1/2 inches long with a 1 3/4 inch wide bowl just perfect for serving salsa or sour cream There is nothing better than a bowl of fresh salsa of crunchy onions and Serrano chilies with ripe tomatoes just off the vine and a squeeze of key lime juice. There is a graceful curve to the handle which is set straight with the bowl. The bowl on this one is large in relation to the handle. The wood came from a scrap from a larger spoon. Finished with beeswax and mineral oil. The shipping is free until the end of August on orders to the U.S. and Canada.

This utensil is "pre-washed" so to speak. The grain has been raised with water during the finishing process to remove any loose fiber ends so the spoon will remain smooth after you use it.

Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some mineral oil or walnut oil every couple of weeks or you can buy some of our spoon oil finish which is Beeswax and mineral oil. A 4 oz. jar lasts for a long time and it will help to keep your spoon looking and feeling good for many years.
