A vintage French Anisette 51 water pitcher.

Anisette is an anise-flavored liqueur and is produced by means of distilling aniseed.
This Anisette water pitcher was in the fifties/sixties a well known item on bistro- and café tables in the south of France.
Filled with cold water to add to a glass of '51', the famous French anis liquor brand, on warm, sunny days while watching a game of petanque... Or joining one of course!

The pitcher is made of plastic, double sided, to keep the water cold longer.

The carafe is in vintage condition, it is visibly used and has some scratches.
It is clean and can, after a soak in hot water and soda, still be used if you like.

The pitcher will be wrapped in bubbles and in a carton box so it will arrive safely with you.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to write, I will gladly reply.

Merci for coming around,
Marion
