12 x 64 inches including fringe
Handwoven in Guatemala by Juana, Shelia and Madaly.
The scarves, made of cotton, are extremely soft. These scarves are exceptional quality. This scarf is simply elegant. The design areas are 1 inch wide and 6 inches apart. There are 8 of these on each scarf. The scarf actually has two different sides with the design on one side and the other side is solid with no design. As with any hand made item, slight variations will occur.
The girls help their mother with weaving the scarves and preparing yarn for scarves - as shown with Sheila prepping threads. Juana is shown weaving one of the scarves. The family lives in San Juan La Laguna at Lake Atitlan Guatemala. Weaving is their primary source of income. The scarves are purchased based on a fair trade relationship assuring the price they want for their work.
