This antique fish engraving was made in Europe in the 1860's and is in very good condition. The print measures 6 1/4' high x 10" wide (15.5cm x 25cm) and was hand colored. The details are clear, the drawing is excellent, and the colors are rich. The types of fish shown are: Scorpena Antennata, Chaetodon Rostratus, Chaetodon Cornutus and Pimelepterus Bosquil. There is minimal age appropriate toning at the edges and a few light soil marks most of which can be covered when the print is matted and framed. The colors are: blue-gray, light blue, gray, rust, mustard, dark gray on wheat color paper. This print was hand colored so based upon the artist's color variations, each print is unique.
