Antique Birds of America book, originally published in 1917 (this is the 1936 printing), with 106 full color plates! These gorgeous color plates show birds, their eggs, and sometimes what they prey upon. Just a few of the beautiful birds featured here: owls, ducks, hummingbirds, herons, quail, turkeys, hawks, eagles, kingfishers, crows, finches, wrens... Besides the 106(!) color plates, there are also many black and white photos.

Originally published in 1917 by The University Society, Inc.; published in 1936 by Doubleday & Sons. 790 pages, index at back. Good vintage condition with minor wear & soiling to covers; light age discoloration of pages inside. Feather, nuts not included.

This would be a fantastic gift for your favorite ornithologist (bird watcher, bird lover) or use these gorgeous color plates in your art projects!
