This listing is for a knitting pattern.

Knit your own yoga socks! This is a knitting pattern designed for people who know how to knit, and it is not necessary to be able to read commercial patterns. Directions are given in plain English for working with Circular Needles in the Magic Loop Style. You can also use Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) or two Circulars, adjusting the stitch arrangement to suit. This pattern assumes you know how to use circulars or DPNs to knit a simple tube. I tested it with my knitting group (The Infamous Black Sheep Knitters) and with customers who have purchased my yoga socks. It has been well received and since I have had requests to buy the pattern, here it is. The cost is $2.95 for a digital cyber version (no shipping costs) that will be promptly sent to you via email along with a link to view the pattern as a Google Document (compatible with both Macs and PCs). If you would prefer a printed version, please convo me and I will set up a special listing for you that will include printing and shipping charges for a total of $4.75.

Yoga socks rock! They do not have heels or toes so they enable your toes and heels to grasp the yoga mat without slipping, while keeping your feet warm. They are suitable for most types of exercise and also serve as sandal socks and pedicure socks. This pattern differs from ones I have seen as it brings the back of the sock lower to the floor, as shown in the photo, providing that extra bit of warmth. And since yoga socks do not have heels or toes, they are easy to knit! In order to use this pattern, you need to be able to knit and purl in the round, decrease (knit two stitches together), cast on and bind off. It is that simple!
