vintage little 1920s kitchen package: a cookbook and the appliance guide that was folded into its pages.

The booklet was published to promote the Bengal heat control by making folks comfortable with using it:

The Bengal America's Best Cook Book:
A collection of tested recipes for Use with the
oven heat control
The Floyd-Wells Company, Royersford Pennsylvania, 1920s
Softcover in a lovely pale aqua with green print and design, heavy stock cover.
32 pages
7.5" x 5"

The appliance guide is for the Type S Wilcolator, called "Instructions for Adjustment," six sided foldable.

The cookbook includes some terrific recipes, including very 1920s items like Parker House rolls, Apricot Whip, Dutch Eggs and Scalloped Oysters, plus all the classics, and all sorts of tips and tables for cooking them. There's a lot of food packed into 32 pages.

Excellent condition, both of them. The booklet cover has some water spotting and a couple of very small pencil marks where a cook liked a recipe. The Wilco pamphlet is mint.
