Well my dears, you certainly do not have to be a child to enjoy this fascinating book of curiosity!
Beautifully illustrated by world renowned artist Donald Moss, this wonderful book captures all the beauty and intrique of awe-inspiring nature. Full of fun facts, questions you never thought to ask and mid-century fonts this winning combination is delightful for the kid who constantly utters the word "why" or the mid-century art collector.

Some of the more whimsical questions include:

Do flowers sleep at night?
Why don't stars fall?
Why doesn't all the water in the ocean sink into the ground?
What are birthstones?
What would happen if all the plants in the world died?
Are owls really wise?

So many fun questions to explore!

About the Book: Hardcover. 66 pages. Published in 1962 by Random House Inc. New York. Written by John R. Saunders. Illustrated by Donald Moss. Measures; 11.25" inches x 8.25" inchesx .25" inches (depth).

Donald Moss (1920-2010) was a celebrated artist throughout his life. He worked primarily in the sports industry, as an illustrator for Sports Illustrated, but has also designed stamps for the United States Postal Service, posters for the US Olympic Committee as well as public and private commissioning for various private and public companies and corporations.

A Note on Condition: The cover contains yellowing, and foxing around the edges which really adds a lovely aged patina. The spine has two small rips at it's base where it says Random House. Interior pages are in excellent condition with no rips, tears, wrinkles or yellowing.
