Vintage Tin Toy Schoolhouse Bank made by US Metal Toy Mfg CO during the 1940s. This cute little fella has 18 small holes on top to hold Lollipops plus a slit for you to drop in your coin on the honor system. Don't know if this was originally a store display or meant for a child's use. When I bought it I thought it was part of a train set and it would look cute there.

Perfect red & green for a Christmas display. Would love to see it perched on a farmhouse kitchen window sill. I couldn't find any suckers around here so I stuck in the sandwich picks for display.

Front shows the sign for P.S. 23 and a teacher & students with more students leaning out the windows. So much detail compared to toys today. Cute as a batton!

Condition:
Originally set on a flat tin base and the metal tabs are there, but no base.
Size:
5.25 inches long
4 inches tall
