An vintage glass bottle from the Larkin Soap Company of Buffalo New York, antique tiny bottle, pre 1920s collectible salvaged pharmacy bottle. Bud vase size.

This small, square based bottle of clear glass has the "Larkin Soap Co., Buffalo, NY" embossed of the flat front face. It most likely had a glass stopper at one time, as most did of this style, from Larkin. But it has gone by the ways side at some point in time.

The Larkin Soap Company produced bottles of this style and size for its products between the years of 1890 and 1920. The company ceased to exist around 1940.

Larkin began as a manufacturer of soaps, later expanding to produce and sell directly over 675 products from their catalog, including soaps, toiletries, shampoo, jellies, coffee and teas, extracts, cocoa, spices, chocolate, soups, perfumes, by 1904.

This particular bottle may have been for perfume, judging by the style and size. It may have had a label when produced.

The bottle is 4" tall or 10.2 cm tall
The base measures 1 5/8" x 1 5/8" or 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm

Condition: Excellent vintage condition, for its age. There is no chipping or cracking in the glass. There is residue and yellowing inside the bottle that I have not made a special attempt to remove. As mentioned above, the bottle should have had a stopper, which is clear by the rough, cloudiness of the inner neck. The bubbles present within the glass are inherent to the production of the bottle.
