This vintage handmade quilt is made of a red, white and blue floral printed cotton fabric similar to that used for feedsacks in the 1930s, '40s and '50's. Seamed at the center (two 35 inch widths of fabric) this bed cover has diagonal quilting (at 3 inch intervals) and the same fabric on both sides. Great as a throw blanket or for picnics.

Measures 70 x 76 inches. Shown on a full size bed, you can see in the second image that it doesn't really have enough width to give you complete mattress coverage, but it's great as a light extra layer for chilly nights.

Overall condition is good. This has been washed many times in its life (and I froze it overnight, then gave it a gentle soak and washing) and is softly worn, with some fading (see third image) and some fraying at the edges. I saw one small (dime size), very faint stain, but don't see any tears, repairs or other issues. Good, usable shape!

I love vintage bedding! I have more vintage chenille bedspreads, blankets and bedding--click here to see:
