Handsome, vintage, end or side table salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. It is made of solid maple (no particle board or MDF), and has a classical design. There is a storage compartment on one side meant for holding magazines and newspapers, and another open compartment next to it for storing other items.

I'm estimating that the piece is about 50 - 60 years old.

The elegant, spindle legs are removable.

There are 8, small, circular openings on the side bracket/panel of the magazine compartment where screws are inserted. Originally, there was a convex or dome-shaped cap/plug inserted into each hole to hide the screw from view. Three caps are still there, but five are missing.

Aside from the missing caps, there is nothing wrong to report. Our carpenter inspected the piece from top to bottom, inside and out and there was nothing for him to repair, replace, or even tighten/reinforce. It has the common nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on an old, used, piece of furniture, but no breaks, cracks, rot, or warp. All of the joints are tight, and overall, the table is strong, sturdy, and ready for a lifetime of service!
