A pair of marvelous men's vintage shoe forms from the 1920s. Part of a cobbler's collection. Beautifully mellowed wood, hinged at the arch with twistable mechanism made of wood. Wooden knobs on top of the heels. They have a spare, elegant, functional quality, lent even more character by how the wood has aged.

Marked size 11D at the toes. Somewhat blurry are the stamped labels: "Twist-[something]" and a maker's address on the bottom at the toes, which seems to say Homes and Vining Inc., Massachusets.

About 12" long x 3.75" wide

Marvelous bookends, paperweights, conversation pieces, found sculptures, souvenirs of the past.

Beautiful, warm wood, possibly maple, with some marks and scars as shown.

vintage 1920s men's shoe forms. antique industrial.
