Ooh la la!
This dress is so amazing.

Unearthed in Paris, France and looking for the perfect gal to give it the right home.
it is a very interesting piece, covered in line drawings of trees, flowers, tall ships, buildings, and stony paths. The colors are splotched together: deep forest green, canary yellow, and coffee brown.
The fabric is sheer, but has a sheen to it. It feels slightly stiff, but in a wonderful way that keeps the pleats in the skirt crisp and makes it incredibly easy to belt and have it stay put.
There is no tag. It could be handmade, or possibly just altered. Either way it is certainly totally one of a kind.
Collared shirt dress style with a side metal zipper
It has a two button closure in the front, the buttons are different, but they look very cute together. There are two other button holes, but no buttons that match up which gives me the handmade or altered impression.
Well made and structurally sound.

I show it belted in the photos because I think that's how it looks good. Please note the fact that it does not come with this belt. It is not pinned in any other way and there is no bunching on the full hipped, size 4 model making this dress easy to fit on several body types. (see measurements below)

It is in great vintage condition - aside from the mystery button holes (which don't detract at all) there are a few pinholes on the collar toward the breast.
I just can't possibly convey how much I love this dress!
