Back to School...Back to Old School to be exact! This 1950s skirt is made of wool in a plaid of red, black, and cream, with fine blue lines as well. The skirt has stitched down pleats to the hip, at which point they open up. Most ingenious and surprising, if you haven't seen this type of vintage skirt, is the fact it is reversible. The red is emphasized by the way the pleats are formed on one side, the black is emphasized on the other. The side covered metal zipper has a pull on either side. The skirt is not labeled.

Condition: Excellent. The only thing I can find to mention is that the very bottom of the zipper was sewn over as a stopper because there is one tooth missing at the bottom. This shouldn't cause any problems.

Size: Small, about a US size 4 to 6. The buttons at the waist were moved to make the waist about 1/2" smaller, and could be moved back.

Waist-26" (the original about 26.5")
Hip-38" (8" down from the waist, where the pleats open up)
Length-31"

Please note: I measure the dimension of the item itself, and you will need to consider what size you would want the item to be to fit well on you.
