This is a very unusual oblong dish/tray made of porcelain and adorned with an ornate gold toned applique. It is a muted off white in color with a cork covered bottom. It is signed Georges Briard and the back says "Georges Briard Midas by Hyalyn Porcelain USA". It is truly an interesting decorative mid-century Eames Era decor or serving item. It measures 12 1/2" by 5 1/8", and is 1 1/4" high. It is in good condition except a hole in the cork on the bottom as seen in the last photo and some faint markings on the inside which look like pencil marks but I think are just the aging of the piece. There are no chips, scratches, or cracks. Please convo me for international shipping rates.
