Walking with Mary Through Motherhood: The Joyful Mysteries
Digital file type(s): 1 GIF
This 5 week Scripture Reflection helps women to grow in their vocation to motherhood. You will walk with Mary through the Scriptures to help you grow closer to Jesus through His mother. Each section has the Scripture passage from that mystery of the Rosary, additional quotes from saints and Pope Francis to draw you into deeper reflection, as well as a reflection written by me, with questions to ponder in your heart!
This Scripture Reflection was born out of my own loneliness. Motherhood can be a lonely journey at times and this feeling was definitely intensified during the pandemic. Some days I feel like I'm doing everything wrong. I feel like I'm threatening time out all day and feeling emotionally drained before nap time. Social media can exacerbate this feeling of isolation. I felt like when I looked at Catholic moms on social media all I saw was families praying the Latin rosary with their 8 kids, and, of course, it's lead by their 3 year old and I just couldn't relate. Where were the regular moms without pristine Instagram feeds, rosaries on every post, and saint quotes every day?
I started posting the crazy things that happen on a regular basis on my Instagram stories to show people that mommin' ain't easy, you're not alone and that God is present in so many ways throughout our motherhood if we are attentive to the movements of our hearts and the sound of His voice.
