Here is a very ornate set of 4 serving spoons. I have tested them for silver and they weren't. Very possibly silver plate.

Rogers Brothers can trace its beginning to the 1820's. They were a manufacturer of silver plate flatware and hollowware. Their most popular line perhaps was the 1847 Rogers Bros. flatware. The name Rogers Bros. was first used in 1847. In 1898, they became part of the International Silver Company.

The mark on the back is this:
1847 Rogers Bros. XII with a symbol next to it which I can't make out. There is no IS ( International Silver) on it so I don't believe it was from 1898 or later.

1847 does not mean the year it was made, it was the first year the name Rogers Bros. was used.

Measures:
8 & 1/8" and weighs 2 oz.
