This AMAZING classic black rotary phone is nicknamed the "Galion" because it was manufactured in Galion, OH. It has so much character and charm that is definitely one of my favorites.

The body is hands down in the nicest shape Ive come across. There are almost no scratches or spots of wear. Still has a nice shine to it. The body is made of Bakelite and therefore has that old-school heavy sturdy feel. The cords are original, as, I believe, is the dial card. The dial itself moves smoothly. The vents in the back of the phone are one of the things that really set it apart. It also has a nice little grip under the handset where you can hold it if you are prone to walking around when you talk on the phone. The base is in perfect shape. No rust. The footpads are still looking great and will help keep your furniture looking great as well.

I have no doubt that it could be fixed to a working phone, but there is something mis-wired in there that is causing the numbers to register incorrectly when dialed. If you love it, and plan to have it fixed, I do know of someone who charges less than 10 bucks to work on dials, but you do need to pay shipping both ways.

Please let me know if there are any questions you have, or if you would like any additional pics. You'll note in the last pic (please click on it to enlarge) that there is a bit of wear/tear on one spot of the curly cord. Shouldnt affect the use at all. Also you can see where I've highlighted the date stamp on the inside. Hard to tell if its 1946 or 1948. But either way, its in amazing beautiful shape for a 60+ year old phone!!!
