Big ceramic coffee pot or tea pot from Figgjo Flint. Market pattern designed by Turi Gramstad Oliver in the 1960s. Classic mid century Scandinavian folkloric serving ware.

I love these detailed line-drawing style designs, suited in style also to the Lotte pattern but in a grey, moss and forest green color-way. This tall coffee pot features market sellers and shoppers in pretty dresses, hats, and boots, with flowers and birds and little scrolls. The design is repeated on either side of the pot.

There is a lid, a big handle, and a long spout on this beauty, and a subtle verticle stripe texture surrounding the bottom section. Condition is very good, with a few signs of wear here and there: some slight dark marks around the underside, a little light marking on the edges. There are no chips, cracks, or even crazing to speak of, and the screened designs are clear and strong colored.

Lid peak and all, this piece measures nearly 9 inches tall, taller than the Turi teapots and with a lovely profile. Collectible, and incredibly sweet, this is a wonderful ceramic kitchen ware item to display and to use.

More pieces in the Turi Market pattern to come in the shop.
