At a recent antique flea market, I found 10 fashion plates dating back to 1840. These are original, hand nted plates. They were made for a fashion magazine and featured the latest in dress design. When I picked up these antique pages, I literally got weak in the knees. They still retain their vibrant colors and the details are breathtaking. Much skill was taken to replicate the latest in hair, makeup and fashion. Each of these plates were painstakingly hand tinted. Someone actually took a small brush and delicately applied just a bit of color to each and every plate. To hold this in my hands was to hold history. Over 170 years old...did some other lady, swoon over the latest in dresses? Did some other lady try to braid her hair to look like the latest in French design? Were dresses sewn to resemble these beautiful creations? I could only wonder who wore these gorgeous gowns with European laces and adornments.

I wanted to add a bit of elegance to this charm, so at the bottom, you will find a vintage pearls and a rhinestone spacer.

Each charm features a lovely lady on both the front and back, so it's like getting 2 charms in one! I hope you will enjoy these charms as much as I enjoyed making them.

This charm measures 1" x 1-1/2".

This charm comes with a delicate 16-1/2" inch silver colored chain, so it is ready to wear when you recieve it.

I use a silver colored solder that is lead free. I've given this charm my signature ruffled edging and then hand polished it to a to a brilliant shine.

I'll be offering more pretty charms, so be sure to check back often.
