This plague doctor shoulder cape (mantle, capelet) with stand up collar will go with any of our plague doctor masks (photos show it paired with Jackdaw and Maximus). It is made of heavy weight top grain cowhide, and feels great to the touch. It offers a nice transition between your mask and your robe. The collar is finished with a deerskin binding, and it fastens with three hidden snaps in front, so it is easy to put on and off.

CARING FOR YOUR MASK
The leather masks are quite durable. When storing them, keep them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. The worst enemy is water, as the masks will soften and distort when wet, so don't wear them in the rain, in the pool, or in the shower. Heat will dry them out and make the leather crack. No regular maintenance is required. If they become soiled, wipe with a soft cloth.

An absolutely beautiful capellete, it fit my shoulders and neck comfortably. The three snap button made it easy to put on or take off. It's an essential addition to the Plague Doctor outfit that really provided an aura of authenticity and presence the entire costume.

I've wanted to add a leather mantle/capelet like this to my costume for a while, and I always thought I could just spend some time working on a pattern and make my own. Ultimately though, I just decided to buy one, and I couldn't be happier. This item is REALLY really nice, it's EXACTLY what I wanted, it's such a crucial component of the costume. I'm so glad I didn't spend an enormous amount of time and money on trial-and-error-ing my own capelet and just bought this one instead. Thank you for the wonderful piece!

Perfect. The look and leather quality are just as awesome as the pictures. The measurements are accurate! I took a chance with the Large but I measure at 18" collar. Since you're definitely going to wear this over a duster coat or something, you will definitely want to bump to compensate an extra inch. I can wear mine just fine, but it's cutting close.

I bought the whole plague doctor costume/accessories from this seller and was very satisfied....everything was high quality and I got several compliments at the halloween themed wedding I went to in this. Highly recommend. The gloves, lantern and potion bottle I bought elsewhere.
