Unique, one-of-a-kind wooden and tin bench for a man cave, a dessert bar, cool couple's shower gift, retro family reunion, or tailgating - the possibilities are endless!

Meant for those who share my appreciation for vintage advertising, I have cut, filed and attached a piece of a vintage potato chip tin to decorate the top of this small wooden bench. The tin held 'Guy's Potato Chips' from Omaha Nebraska, Tulsa Oklahoma, Wichita Kansas and Kansas City Missouri.

I love repurposing old tins and giving them new life, especially with this small bench. Made of pine, painted in greens, yellows, eggplant and browns to match the tin and distressed to give it an antique feel, this little stool stands tall among display pieces.

The colors and graphics will also make this pop in a dessert bar for the vintage-loving bride and groom and it is sturdy enough to become a footrest in his man cave after the reception.

The top piece is rectangular, measuring 9 inches by 13 inches and it is a half inch thick. Total height is 6.5 inches. The tin piece is firmly nailed in place and has been put through the barefoot test, to ensure there are no sharp edges!

I layered on five coats of yellow, green, eggplant, burnt umber and brown paint for coverage, and sanded the rough edges between each coat.

The texture of the wood grain is still deliberately visible for a rustic look. There are nicks and scratches on the tin, made from years of use as a kitchen container.

As always, FREE shipping in the U.S.!!

Materials:
Pine wooden stool
Galvanized nails
Tin container piece
Spray paint in greens, yellows, browns, eggplant
