This hand-thrown stoneware lidded jar can be used for so many things: use it as a small cannister for loose tea, sugar, or coffee. Place it in your bathroom to store bobby pins, cotton balls, powder, or bath salts. Keep it on a shelf in your family room to store game pieces, or loose change. Leave it on your desk at work filled with snacks. This would make a delightful gift for a loved one filled with biscotti, or cookies. Not only is the jar a great keepsake, but no giftwrap is required.

This jar and lid were thrown on a pottery wheel, the hearts and vines were stamped into the side of the jar, the bird knob was sculpted and attached to the lid, and the scallops were cut into the rim. It was bisque fired, then later glazed using food safe glazes, and fired to cone 6 in my electric kiln.

4 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" tall
