Blue or Red Heeler crochet hat PATTERN

there were a lot of issues with the pattern. 1) there is no gauge anywhere in the pattern. This is important since some people crochet tighter or looser. (I generally crochet extremely loose and need to size down to meet gauge) 2) there are no finished measurements, just a “it should fit 4-12” that’s a huge size difference and not all kids are the same. That should have been a red flag for me so that’s on me. 3) the formatting is a bit wonky as are terminology. It definitely needs edited. As someone who has bought, tech edited and tested many patterns, I regret buying this and should have just done it myself. I did use a different for my hat that actually has a gauge so I knew it would be the correct size. I’m only giving 3⭐️ because the photos in the pattern could help a beginner.

The hat I made according to direction (4-12 years old) turned out too small and barely fit my sons head who is 2. I even went up a hook size knowing i am a tight tension crocheter. So, I ended up using a different hat pattern base so there wasn't anything wrong with the hat pattern per say but I would have liked more sizing options because I would have used this pattern and gone up a size, but Overall all the parts to make Bluey hat were extremely detailed and easy to follow and the hat came out so cute!

My 14 year old crocheted this hat for her younger sister's birthday present. It came out very well and was a smash hit! She made the hat's size a little bigger to fit, and didn't have to alter the size of the details. She said the instructions were very good and easy to follow.

Great pattern, and even though I slightly altered the basic hat bit, it turned out really well. Easy to follow and good pictures.
