The plain cover with pin tops and pin is the works of Alphonse Tvaryanas entitled "Carnival Glass Hatpin Patterns". On the occasion of attending an annual gathering of American Carnival Glass Association, I happened to be seated near the Tvaryanases and he autographed my purchase of his book. Also seated at the table were the couple referred to in the Dedication. A charmed evening for me.

The Tvaryanas book is a study of the various pins known in iridized glass, and has 67 pages.

The second book is one from Collector's Books (1992 Updated from 1983, 160 pages) and is very colorful and an excellent reference for those interested in the hatpins, and the holders, as well as dresser sets.

Needlesstosay, I didn't get very far along in my collecting of hatpins since they are as scarce as "hen's teeth". But both books are very interesting and captures the curious mind!
