For your consideration is an Antique Singer Sewing Machine. This is the Red Eye model with all of the beautiful decorations. The serial number dated this unit to 1915. A wooden cover attaches to the bottom for easy carrying (If you can lift about 40 pounds!!). The wooden case and the bottom feature dovetailed joints.

This unit is in working condition. By this I mean I plugged it in, pushed the pedal, and it ran (I do not sew). The motor ran strong. All working parts are there and functional, including the light. The belt, while working, seems loose.

Now for the back story.....this was found in terrible cosmetic condition. The wallpaper used to decorate the case was gone. The paper over the base was falling off. I did something that I usually do not do, nor recommend. I took the remaining paper off, sanded the wood, and stained all of the wooden items except the interior of the case which still has some paper). There are some chips and stains in the wood. This is not it's original factory condition, but it's a major improvement over how it was found. I hope you like it too!!

I did not do any restoration to the side compartment or the area under the machine. I will leave this up to it's new owner on how it will look. The side compartment will need something (Contact paper maybe) to keep needles from falling into the cracks of the wood.

Also included are additional steel spools and needles that were in the side compartment.

As mentioned, this is a heavy piece. I used a shipping charge to the west coast of the U.S. The further east you live, the cheaper the rate will be. I refund any overcharge in shipping. I you want your exact rate before buying, please convo me. Also, more photos are available....just let me know.

Thanks for looking......
