I've made these earrings to depict my version of the Hamsa hand which is "Arabic" for "five fingers of the hand". This symbol is seen in the Middle East and North Africa and has many names, "Hand of Fatima", "Hand of Mary", and "Hand of Miriam". The hand is a symbol of strength, blessings, power, a deflector of the evil eye, and as a good luck charm.
These earrings were lovingly made by myself and hand stitched on organic cream muslin onto a sturdy cream felt back. They are a little over 1 1/2 inches long and 1 inch across and attached to a surgical steel silver earring hook.
