This sweet little mouton fur hat is made to be worn tilted at a jaunty angle. The O-ring at the back grasped the head but, I bet they had to use bobby pins to help keep it on. This hat was from the Specialty Department at Rich's in Atlanta. There is a tag inside that says 22 along with the Rich's tag.

Styles like this one were popular in the late 1930s and 1940s. The fur looks to be mouton lamb but, they used seal a lot back in those days, so I can't be sure. It is fur and in very good vintage condition.

The hat measures 6 3/4" (17cm) in diameter and is approximately 2" (52mm) high. The ring is covered in the brown felt that is on the studded decoration at the back.
