Vintage Music Book, A Birds-Eye History of Music by Dr. Eduard Reeser, 1950 Symphonia Books Series

The Symphonia Books Series, published by the Continental Book Company in Stockholm, was a lovely effort to present a compendious look at all aspects of the world of music, its history, its composers, its various genres and national types, including both secular and church compositions. The volume here presented, "A Birds-Eye History of Music", is exactly that - a brief introduction to the various epochs in music, from ancient times on through to the twentieth century. The book is translated from the Dutch and illustrated with monochrome half-tone pictures.
