In the spirit of total disclosure I had to tell what happened and put a picture of the chip (picture 4 and 5) here before I repair it with simple black acrylic paint ( not clay). I am just broken hearted because I really liked it. I have reduced the price in hopes that someone may want to still place it somewhere as a pretty decoration rather than having it broken to pieces to become a mosaic. Thank you to all the wonderful people that favored it. I am so sorry to disappoint anyone who planned to buy it.

Cats by Nina are always charming and children love them. It is almost Halloween and so my thoughts turn to a time when I pulled out the teapot, filled it with warm apple cider put out a plate of homemade oatmeal cookies for the kids. While I love seeing it at Halloween, it always makes me a little sad that the kids are no longer here to enjoy it. Hopefully your children can enjoy it this fall.
This teapot is Nina Lyman, signed on the bottom right corner front. The black cat features watchful copper color eyes on the base on each side . Smaller version of this kitty in three dimensions as the knob. The very corner of the cat's ear has been chipped and repaired and is all black. I tried to show this close up inn pictures three and four. It does not in any way interfere with the look (at a distance) or the usefulness of the item....not the temptation for little hands to grab it.
Aprx 9 1/4" High to top of knob. Aprx 11" wide at the widest point from handle to tip of spout. My guess is that it holds about 1 quart (that is a guess).
This is an item your children will remember....mine do and if I had two I would continue the tradition. Sale is final so please examine all pictures carefully and ask any questions prior to purchase.
