Michael Lax was an American industrial designer who made a name for himself designing for various house ware companies including Copco, Dansk and Rosenthal. I was pleasantly surprised to find this piece with such an overt provenance stamped on its base.

This piece functions as a vase and has a wonderful teardrop form. The form was designed by Lax and produced in Japan. The silkscreen detailing resembles watercolor and evokes the work of Gustav Klimt - there are even hints of metallic gold throughout.

Measures approximately 4" x 6"
