This glazed turquoise colored Infuser style china teapot is hard to find. It was manufactured by Hall China for the Baltimore, Maryland based McCormick Spice and Tea Company in the 1930's. The company commissioned Hall to make their teapots hoping to increase the sale of their teas. "Hall" China is durable, non-porous and it doesn't craze due to a single-firing method perfected by Robert Hall.

The infuser style teapot was used in McCormicks tea room for many years and became a favorite with customers making it McCormick's most sought after style. This particular teapot is harder to find as it has the glazed colored bottom dating it much earlier than the nonglazed white bottom. As mentioned above, this color is much rarer than the maroon one.

This teapot is In excellent condition, no cracks, chips, scratches, or repairs. The original porcelain strainer is in excellent condtion with some light staining between the holes from use.

The teapot measures about 9 1/2" wide x 7" H.
