Shipping/Lost/stolen package

You (the customer) are responsible for any incorrect addresses, or locations where the post office is unable to deliver and I will not refund you in those situations. Postage is not refunded if it’s been used. Please make sure the address is correct before buying! Package theft is not covered by shipping insurance and we will not pay at our expense. It is your responsibility to secure a safe location for packages! If the tracking number shows as delivered, but you cannot find it, you’ll have to contact your local post office USPS. It’s your job to make sure your mail is being delivered in a safe area where mail can’t be stolen!

There are no cancellations, refunds, or exchanges given for products - all sales are final. I do cover damaged items as long as the damaged item is returned to me in its original packaging. Due to the custom nature of our products, partial refunds/exchanges are offered if you receive a damaged or defective item. The damaged package MUST be in its original packaging (and must reflect that in photos). If the item is taken out of its packing the item is not liable for an exchange due to the fragility of the insect, and will not be liable for a refund. Please note that you MUST reach out within 3 days of receiving your items if you have any concerns or issues!

Keep out of direct sunlight. Over time, the sun will fade the beautiful colors on your specimen. Display in (preferably) a temperature-controlled environment- room temp is best but not required. Keep out of humid/moist environments to prevent molding. Avoid touching wings as this will remove the color (tiny little scales). Some insects are sometimes stored in chemicals such as moth balls for preservation. They may have a smell when you first open them. This usually only affects larger-bodied insects, such as giant beetles and XL scorpions. After a few days, the smell will dissipate.

How are your insects sourced?

I have a government permit to legally import insects from farms & sanctuaries all over the world. The permits ensure sustainable practices & help protect vulnerable wildlife populations. I don’t condone practices that decrease natural populations. Example: Sustainable butterfly farming is supported by conservationists & scientists worldwide because it helps to preserve natural habitat from deforestation & commercial farming, helping their species continue. This also helps maintain populations of all other (thousands of)species of flora and fauna on that protected land where the butterflies are raised. Families in these areas are able to make a fair wage. It’s a beautiful system that aids in the survival and greater good of multiple species.

International Shipping

Our shop ships from the United States Postal Service! All the delays and problems caused by the postal service, and customs inspection is beyond our responsibility. All items are guaranteed good quality, except for damage due to postal shock. Every effort will be taken to avoid postal shock through packaging. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, customs delays/fees. We ship to the exact address that is given to us! Please make sure that it is correct! Please check with your local customs and post office to make sure that our items can be delivered to you!

What is the difference between farmed specimens and wild caught specimens?

When insects are farmed for the trade, it means raising and breeding large quantities of bugs in controlled environments (please see my example above!) Wild-caught insects grew up, fed, and completed part or all of their life cycle in nature before being trapped, netted, or dug up by local collectors or exporters. I carry only wild-caught insects collected legally under local permits or international treaties like CITES. I work with licensed farms and collectors who carry out ethical and sustainable sourcing by collecting naturally deceased or damaged specimens and who comply with international regulations like CITES.

This package includes one giant scopion specimen! These are scary and have huge "claws"!

All insects are hand raised or from sustainable sources such as butterfly farms and aviaries. People in third-world countries are able to plant mass crops that are more sustainable and profitable than natural land. They are given the motivation to maintain insect populations and their habitats. Your purchase helps fight extinction and the destruction of habitats worldwide. We do not stock or encourage the collection of endangered/threatened species.

I am required to carry a U.S. Fish & Wildlife "Wildlife Import/Export Permit" in order to import my specimens, so they are also regulated in that way. It is illegal for me to import specimens that are endangered, and it is also illegal for me to import live specimens. CLEANED and A1 CONDITION! I AM A LICENSED IMPORTER, ALL SPECIMENS ARE NOT ENDANGERED AND ARE ABSOLUTELY LEGAL TO OWN.
