3D metal flower, Industrial art made from found objects for a unique floral arrangement. Spring Decor for your home or garden. Steampunk found object flower art. Sanding Stars. They call 'em flappers in the shop. I call this Woolly Mammoth.

This listing is for one flower. It is the tallest of the 'trio' and also shown alone in 3 photos.

Woolly Mammoth, 2012
Approx 28.5" tall
Flower Approx 3" diameter and 1.5" tall

I do not recommend you put this outside, if you do, I would not advise letting it get rain soaked as over time the sanding material will most probably deteriorate.

The Woolly Mammoth species was first recorded in (possibly 150,000 years old) deposits of the second last glaciation in Eurasia. What we have here is a fascinating example of how mutations can occur and sprout seemingly out of nowhere. DNA samples prove that this is indeed a successor of the behemoth creatures that once roamed the middle of the high Arctic. Now found in the Northern and Western hemisphere, this shaggy flower is still relatively rare and thus coveted amongst horticulturists.

*I have NOT painted the stem with a rust converter (some stems have such beautiful patinas I prefer to leave them be but I will gladly apply it for you if you want it for free. It is a 2 day process which can help protect against rust for awhile, over time rust will come back but you can apply poly on it or more converter. It will darken and shine the stem) Things do fade in the sun so keep in mind this is ART and if you want it to look/last this way a long time protect it!
