Consonant Vowel CV Blending Drill Cards are a fantastic tool to make it easy for students to begin to read.
These cards can be adapted after the students have already learned their alphabet sounds and are ready to begin blending their first consonants and vowels.
Teachers can use these CV Blending Drill Cards in small groups or one on one with their students. If your students are still rusty with their alphabet sounds, start each session by going over the alphabet. This will really smooth out the process of CV blending.
**I recommend using these cards with short vowel sounds and once your student(s) understand and remember the blends, move along to CVC words.**
