Eurypterids are also known as sea scorpions. They are extinct arthropods that lived from the Ordovician (500 million years ago) to the Permian period (240 million years ago) and lived in marine environments. This specific plush was modeled after Baltoeurypterus tetragonophthalmus from the Silurian period. Most specimens found were less than 20cm, but the largest ever found was nearly 2 meters in length! Eurypterids are also the New York state fossil.

This handmade plush measures approximately 12 inches long and 5 inches wide (not including arms). It is made with a combination of pink (with a slight hint of purple) and ivory fleece and is stuffed with polyfil. It also has black safety eyes on top of some black felt.

**NOTE** For adults or mature children only please. This Eurypterid's appendages might not remain intact if pulled hard enough. Use your best judgement!
