This purple lucite necklace dates from 1956 and still as its original Coro tag! Little purple squares are set in gold toned metal with an open back design. Coro called this necklace design "Moonray." In 1956 Americans were starting to become interested in a possible spaceflight to the moon and this necklace may have been an expression of that desire. (Gumby made his spaceflight to the moon in 1956.)

The necklace measures 16 1/2 inches not including the hook. The squares measure 12 mm or 1/4 inch across.

This necklace is in excellent vintage condition and does not appear to have ever been worn.
