The Virgin of Guadalupe - Inspired folk art design with artisan techniques.

This artglass rendition of the Virgin Mary, is an exceptional handblown glass ornament, in collaboration with our chosen studio of glassblowers from Czestochowa, Poland.

To create this shape, the ornament glass is blown into a carefully designed metal mold.
When complete, the inner ornament is coated with silver.

This produces not only impressive reflection [it is now a mirror] but also through the multiple layers of lacquers, produces considerable depth of color.

And again, we go to exceptionally skilled artists to pull off the riot of color, the progression of layers, and the precision work that our designs require. This bright turquoise, handpainted design is achieved through layering details with numerous colors of lacquer and paint.
