This is a beautiful, hard-to-find casserole dish. It would make a wonderful addition to your collection. The dark brown, rosevine artwork is so detailed, and the splashes of hand-painted yellow, green, rose and blue are just right.

The dish is made by Nasco, Japan, from 1945-1952 in the "Rosevine" pattern. The pattern is printed on, while all the colored areas are swirled on by hand.

The dish is in very nice condition. There is a shallow chip on the inside of the lid and a few small flakes of glaze missing from the inside of the dish. The outside of the dish has no chips or cracks, just the normal crazing in the glaze that occurs over time.

Dish measures 11 1/2" wide from handle to handle and 5 1/2" tall.

Thank you for your interest!
